The Fógues and Simon Casey will be the top performers that this year’s Blue Jean Country Queen Festival in Athboy, Co Meath.
On Saturday 31st May, Cork-based trio The Fógues will perform following the Queens’ Interviews in The Darnley Lodge Hotel.
While on Sunday 1st June, former You’re A Star contestant Simon Casey will be live in The Darnley Lodge Hotel to help celebrate the coronation of the 2025 Blue Jean Country Queen.
The Fógues

Hailing from the foot of the Galtee Mountains in Mitchelstown, this four-piece ballad group is a family affair. Cousins Micheál, William, and Jack Fogarty, alongside their childhood friend Ted O’Brien, grew up in homes steeped in musical tradition. Their performances are a blend of soulful storytelling, rich harmonies, and a passion for music that feels as timeless as the Irish countryside itself. Simon Casey’s began when he became a standout star of You’re a Star, Ireland’s 2003 televised quest to select its Eurovision Song Contest entry. The show’s popularity catapulted him into the spotlight, with his weekly live performances captivating audiences. Simon has gone to to make regular appearances on shows like The Late Late Show, Open House, and Ireland AM.
Today, Simon has become renowned for delivering unforgettable shows at weddings and events nationwide.
