Le Chéile Credit Union Limited was created through the merger of Athboy and Oldcastle Credit Unions in July 2024. Both credit unions have been looking after the financial service needs of their members for over 50 years.

This year, we are pleased to announce that our Festival Loan is back. We are offering

We are dedicated to being a vital part of the Athboy and Oldcastle local communities and, since 2015, we have been the major sponsor of the annual Blue Jean Country Queen Festival. We are proud to continue our association with the festival, which brings an air of fun each year to the town over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

Le Chéile Credit Union will host the Family Fun Day again this year on Saturday, 30th May, between 2pm and 5pm, with games, face painting and complimentary ice cream or burger with each ticket, and LMFM will broadcast live at the Credit Union from

12.30pm. Free Admission – Strictly Ticket Only – Book your free ticket on Eventbrite.ie or from our Athboy & Oldcastle offices. The Le Chéile Credit Union Quarterly Member Draw will take place at 4.30pm with 1st Prize €10,000, 2nd Prize €5,000, 3rd Prize €3,000, plus many more cash prizes. All members are welcome to attend.

McNamara Feeds

McNamara Feeds is a family-run business with a strong history in agriculture, particularly tillage farming. In 2012, they built a state-of-the-art feed mill on their farm. The initial construction was completed in 2013, and they received full approval from the Department of Agriculture.

McNamara Feeds began producing high-end coarse rations for beef, dairy, and sheep, with a strong focus on high inclusions of native grains. In 2017, they installed a pelleting press to offer a wider range of products to their growing customer base. The success of this addition led to the installation of a second press in late 2020.

Their ethos is to provide customers with high-performing quality feed and top-class service, all while keeping the environment in mind. McNamara Feeds services the Midlands, North East, and parts of Southern Ulster.
