Athboy, Co Meath is the place to be when the Blue Jean Country Queen Festival returns this June Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 29th May. The entire town of Athboy will be in festival mode for a weekend of daytime events suitable for everyone and two nights of live music – not to mention the competition to crown the 2025 Blue Jean Country Queen.

The Blue Jean Country Queen Festival is sponsored by Le Chéile Credit Union and organised by Meath Macra na Feirme in collaboration with the community of Athboy.

Weekend Pack

Get the full Blue Jean Country Queen Festival experience with our weekend pack which gets you entry to the Queens Interviews, two nights of live music, and the Gala Banquet in the Darnley Lodge Hotel.

Saturday:

• The Queen’s Interviews in St. James’ Hall, hosted by RTE’s Maura Fay (Doors Open 7.00 pm)
• The Rurals in the Darnley Lodge Hotel followed by DJ Smiley K (Doors Open 10.00 pm)

Sunday:

• Gala Banquet (Doors Open 6.30 pm)
• The Blarneys, followed by DJ Smiley K (10.00 pm)

One Night Only Tickets

You can purchase tickets for either the Saturday OR the Sunday night entertainment.

How Do I Buy Tickets?

Can I Pre-Order Tickets To The Interviews?

Yes, Weekend Packs give you entry to the Queens’ Interviews. Tickets purchased on the door at the Queens’ Interviews will also give you entry to The Rurals.

Can I Buy Tickets On The Door?

Yes. You can purchase tickets at the door for each night for €20. Entry to The Queens’ Interviews also includes your entry to the band.

How Do I Get Tickets For The Gala Banquet?

Banquet entry is included with the Weekend Pack but can also be purchased separately. Entry to The Gala Banquet includes your entry to The Blarneys and the 2026 Coronation. We will be announcing online ticket sales for the banquet soon.

Please note that there is generally quite a high demand for Gala Banquet tickets. Please follow us on social media to be alerted when ticket sales are open.
